This PTP Shop Limited Warranty provides that the repairs and service performed will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from the date of the original work order. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser, the motor vehicle and parts identified on the original sales invoice.
Individual product warranty terms offered by manufacturers may vary from the 90 day PTP Shop limited Warranty. If a part is subject to a specific manufacturer’s warranty, repair or replacement will be made in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty. Labor, under these terms, will only be covered for 90 days, after that period all warranty claims are subject to normal shop labor rates.
This warranty does not apply to failures in service due to deliberate misuse, accident, neglect, alteration, off road use, or normal wear and tear. NOTE: No warranty will be provided on requested repairs that don’t restore vehicle or equipment to sound operating condition. PTP Shop will only offer a warranty on repairs that we have recommended and/ or requested by the Customer that meets these requirements.
This warranty does not cover economic loss or additional expense including (without Limitation): payment for loss of time or pay, inconvenience, storage, loss of vehicle use, vehicle rental expense, lodging, meals or other travel cost.
Routine Preventative Maintenance: Such as oil and filter changes, (Shop provided only) lubrication, and fluid level checks on drive line equipment, are warranted against faulty material and workmanship for periods not to exceed the normal recommended service intervals published by the manufacturer. All products or equipment warranties, extended service intervals will be referred back to the manufacturer advocating the extended service interval.
New Tires and New Recap Tires: Are subject to the manufacturer’s published warranty. Used tires are sold as is, no warranty. Additional expense or damage resulting from a failed tire is not covered under these warranties. Note: as prescribed by wheel/ rim manufacturers, requires that lug nuts tightness must be re-checked within 50-100 miles of installation by a shop. Maintain shop ticket as proof. failure to do so will void any implied warranty on any part associated with wheel, tire, including hub.
Tire valve stem assemblies: The valve stem and core is an integral part of the air seal of the rim assembly. If PTP Shop deems it necessary to replace the tire valve stem and valve core assembly during the installation of new, used, recap, or tire repair and customer declines the installation of these parts, the repair will not be eligible for any warranty relating to loss of air pressure due to faulty valve stem and or core assembly that was not replaced at the time of repair.
Axle/wheel seal replacement: When brake shoes are contaminated with oil or other foreign substances, or brake drum worn/cracked out side of tolerance, manufacturers recommend the replacement of these parts in conjunction with seals.
Axle/wheel seal replacement (cont.) Failure to authorize the recommended repair will void any warranties to the repair performed. Customers requesting wheel bearings are tighten, PTP Shop will recommend wheel seal replacement due to uneven wear of seals, failure to authorize recommended repair will void any implied warranty.
Air Conditioning Services: If the air conditioning system has lost its charge of refrigerant than (other a Compressor shaft seal failure) or it’s necessary to replace any air conditioning system components, the air conditioning system must be flushed. Failure to authorize this repair as suggested will negate any warranty applying to the air conditioning services performed by the PTP Shop.
Customer’s Obligations: The PTP Shop has the right to inspect and correct any work to which our posted warranty applies. The servicing location office must be notified on any claims prior to any corrective action being taken at any repair facility. (Servicing location has the right to select another repair facility and authorized warranty repair of their choice.). You must try and return vehicle/equipment to servicing location or to another PTP Shop located within 25 miles of warranty failure site without causing further damage to vehicle/equipment. Complete vehicle service history records may be required to be submitted as part of the warranty claims investigation process. All parts installed by the servicing location must be returned on all warranty related work performed by an outside repair facility. Failure to do so will result in the denial of a warranty claim. It is the Driver/ Company responsibility to prevent further damage to vehicle/equipment, failure to do so will void any and all warranties. Keep a copy of the Sales invoice indicating the services performed and showing full payment for the services rendered.
Additional Damage While Making Repairs: The PTP Shop will not be liable for parts are labor associated with removing a part to make a repair. I understand I will be charged for the Additional repair associated with the original repair. Example; Flat Repair; while removing the lug nuts to remove the wheel a Stud breaks Off, you will be charge an additional fee (Parts and Labor) to replace the Broken Stud in conjunction with the Tire Repair.
Acknowledgement Statement: I have read and fully understand that I must comply with all Terms of this Warranty. I further understand that if I violate any term of this Warranty the Warranty will be come Null and Void in whole.
